Pro Tips for Topping Success
- Buy Extra: Always buy 10-15% more than calculated to account for waste and snacking!
- Pre-Cook Meats: Cook sausage and bacon before adding to pizza. They'll finish cooking on the pizza.
- Drain Vegetables: Pat mushrooms, peppers, and tomatoes dry to prevent soggy pizza.
- Slice Consistency: Cut toppings uniformly for even cooking and distribution.
- Cheese First: For best results, add sauce, then cheese, then toppings (except delicate herbs).
- Less is More: Don't overload! Too many toppings make pizza soggy and hard to cook evenly.
- Fresh Herbs Last: Add basil and other delicate herbs after baking for maximum flavor.
