Example Calculations:

Example 1: 100μF capacitor at 50Hz

Reactance: Xc = 1/(2π × 50 × 0.0001) = 31.83Ω

Example 2: 470μF capacitor charged to 12V

Charge: Q = 470×10⁻⁶ × 12 = 5.64mC | Energy: E = ½ × 470×10⁻⁶ × 12² = 33.84mJ

Example 3: Two 100μF capacitors in series

Total: 1/Ct = 1/100 + 1/100 → Ct = 50μF
